Woodford Reserve releases new limited-edition Brandy Cask Finished Bourbon

As part of its acclaimed Distillery Series, Woodford Reserve today released a new limited-edition product that is a blend of Bourbon finished in French and California Brandy barrels.

The result is a unique liquid with hints of caramel and chocolate-coated vanilla wafer laced with cotton candy and citrus peel.

Woodford Reserve Brandy Cask Finished Bourbon has brown sugar notes that mingle with a rich vanilla bean character. Fig and vine fruit round out the palate with a soft and powdery finish.

“Each core expression of Woodford Reserve pushes the creative boundaries of whiskeys to the extreme, and I wanted this one-of-a-kind limited expression to be no exception,” Master Distiller Chris Morris said. “The result is a unique whiskey – the perfect addition to Woodford’s Distillery Series expressions.”

This 375ml expression, $49.99 a bottle, is available via curbside pickup at Woodford Reserve Distillery starting on Wednesday, May 26. Orders can be placed online. This product is available only at the distillery at a small number of Kentucky retailers.

Brandy Cask Finished Bourbon Blend is part of the annual Distillery Series, which Morris created to highlight Woodford Reserve’s inspired line of complex offerings and showcase its commitment to innovation and premium craftsmanship. There are three annual releases of the distillery series.
